An street at sunset in an urban area with modern apartment buildings with large windows and balconies. Trees and plants line the street, creating a welcoming and eco-friendly atmosphere. On the right, people are sitting at outdoor tables in front of a café or restaurant and others are walking along a wide path. Families, couples, and individuals are seen enjoying the area, some holding hands or pushing strollers. On the left, a dedicated bike lane runs alongside parked cars, with cyclists riding through the scene. The buildings use wood and glass. The scene feels lively and friendly, with sunlight shining through the trees.

Our team

Together, the Waterloo Partnership brings together the expertise as Stockland – one of Australia’s largest residential developers with over 70 years’ experience in creating communities, with experienced Community Housing Providers – who bring a diversity and depth of local and global experience in social, affordable and Aboriginal housing.

In partnership with Homes NSW, each of the Waterloo Partnership organisations has a key role to play to deliver and operate the Waterloo South renewal.

  • Stockland – master developer and leading the design, planning and construction of Waterloo South
  • Link Wentworth – managing the new social housing buildings and providing wrap around support coordination
  • City West Housing – managing the new affordable housing, owning some of the affordable buildings, and providing wrap around support coordination.
  • Birribee Housing – managing 20% of the new social housing and 15% of the new affordable housing, which will be prioritised for Aboriginal households, and providing wrap around support coordination.

Homes NSW leads the NSW Government’s work to deliver and manage social housing, relocations and tenant participation in the Waterloo Estate.

We acknowledge the Gadigal people as the Traditional Custodians and knowledge holders of the lands on which Waterloo is located. We recognise their deep and enduring connection to the land, waters and skies across this region, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.
We also recognise the strength and determination of the Redfern-Waterloo community who have long fought for the social and political advancement of First Nations people across this Country.
